TUBEX bored piles are constructed without vibration and percussive impact on soils in stamped boreholes, without soil excavation onto the surface. It allows its successful use in dense urban areas.

The borehole is formed by rotary drilling using casing pipe with screw-shaped metal drill head /mandrel fixed on its bottom end by welding.

When drilling, soils are moved aside and compacted.

When drilling column reaches reference mark at the pile heel, prepared reinforcement cage is lowered inside the casing to the reference mark; internal volume of the casing pipe is filled with mixed concrete of the required class.

The casing pipe stays in the soil, and serves as a sacrificial formwork for the pile, thus preventing any negative impacts on the newly-filled concrete from the corrosive medium or underground pressure waters.

Permanent casing pipe and widened pile foot, along with soils compaction during borehole drilling provide high reliability, structural strength and high soil and material load-bearing capacity of the TUBEX bored piles.

The TUBEX bored piles can be manufactured with diameter up to 880 mm and length up to 80 m.
